Tournament background:

A Bowl160 Tournament is billed as an "Average League Bowler's Tournament." The event is open to any adult USBC league sanctioned bowler who has a verifiable average on USBC's Bowl.com website for the previous year (2022-2023) totaling 169 or less. If the average online is 169 or less, then you are eligible to compete in a Bowl160 tournament, even if you are bowling better this league season. If you bowled in multiple leagues last year, we will use the USBC composite average showing. If two different composites show, we will take the average.  We do not re-rate averages. We do not use current season averages. It's easier to verify the cumulative average from the previous year. If you do not have a league average from last year on Bowl.com then you are ineligible.  You do have to be at least 18 years old to participate.

What makes Bowl160 tournaments unique is the capped bowling average of 169 or less using the previous season's posted USBC average (2022-2023), and limiting the total entries to just 60 bowlers. If 50 or more bowlers participate, first prize is $1,000. It takes a minimum of 20 bowlers for the tournament to be held. If only 20 bowlers compete, the first prize is $500. Either way, it's pretty good odds for those participating in the tournament to compete, connect and cash. Plus, you are helping raise funds for a worthwhile cause. Note:  In the event the tournament is canceled due to less than 20 bowlers registering, all registration fees paid will be refunded promptly.  There are no cancelations otherwise and no substitutions per the rules.  All registration fees are considered a donation if the tournament is held.  Prize money places will paid to the winner(s) on the day of the event.  All awards will be given on that day as well.  You must be at least 18 to enter.

How did Bowl160 come about? Bowl160 is the brainchild that Toby and Jennifer Wagoner came up with after considering themselves to be average bowlers who love to compete in bowling tournaments. They understand the frustration of sometimes bowling really good, and then the next game, bowling awful. Their love for bowling and participating in tournaments inspired them to create a bowling tournament that would be attractive to "average" bowlers, fostering a more competitive event, while helping support a good cause with the proceeds going to help someone in need. Bowl160 is not a business. It's a hobby.
